Stratford, NY Families - John, Minnie and Alma Austin

John C. Austin was born in Stratford, New York on April 2, 1872, to Jerome B. Austin (Civil War Veteran) and Rocelia Smith.

 

 In 1893 he married Minnie May Young, also from Stratford. They had one child Bessie (Helmer). Alma was John’s half-sister. Alma's mother was Ellen (Ella) Mosher. John and Minnie raised their family in the Middlesprite area of Stratford, where John was a farmer.
