Stratford - Then and now - Stratford Methodist Church

Though in Herkimer County, the United Methodist Church's is still a part of the history of Stratford, Fulton County. The church goes back to April 5, 1813 when it was established under the name of "The Presbyterian and Methodist Union Society" Donations of money, lumber and other materials were used to build the first church. The first board of trustees were William E. Jennings, Henry Devereaux and Simon Kennedy.

This  Then and Now picture of the church as it was in 1904 and a picture taken by Randy Fredlund this week.

Thank you Randy for providing the comparison.
